Many clients find virtual therapy both convenient and effective, especially with busy schedules or demanding work lives.

Sessions are 50 minutes. OCD clients typically begin weekly and may increase frequency during active exposure phases.

Perinatal clients also typically begin weekly for stabilization. We reassess regularly based on progress and symptom reduction.

We require 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling.

Late cancellations are charged the full session fee. Consistency is essential for both exposure work and emotional stabilization.

It’s normal to feel anxious about starting, especially if your mind has been scaring you or you feel exhausted from pregnancy or postpartum changes.

In the first session, we focus on understanding what’s happening and which service path best fits you. We clarify symptoms, explain how treatment works, and answer questions directly.

There’s no pressure to prove how bad it is or relive anything immediately. Most clients leave feeling relieved that this has a name and a plan.

If intrusive thoughts, compulsions, or fear of your own mind are dominating your day, OCD-focused treatment with ERP is appropriate.

If you’re pregnant or postpartum and feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, anxious, or unlike yourself, perinatal therapy may be the better starting point.

We don’t argue with intrusive thoughts or try to out-logic them. We help you build tolerance for uncertainty and regain choice.

ERP involves gradually approaching feared thoughts or situations while resisting compulsions. It can feel uncomfortable at first, but it’s structured and supported. We walk through it together.

Over time, anxiety decreases not because uncertainty disappears, but because you learn you can tolerate it.

Perinatal distress isn’t a character flaw. It’s often a mix of hormonal shifts, sleep deprivation, identity change, and relational strain.
